This week, Thomas Jefferson again explains his views on the Second Amendment. The Second Amendment is a part of the Bill of Rights which was adopted on December 15, 1791. The amendment, as ratified by the States and authenticated by Thomas Jefferson, Secretary of State reads: "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
